Industrial losses are rarely dramatic. They are slow.
The break-in is not usually the problem. The problem is material walking out through the gate a little at a time, attendance that does not match who was actually on the floor, a contractor with access to an area they were never meant to enter, and a quality dispute six weeks later where the footage has already been overwritten.
None of that is solved by adding cameras. It is solved by controlling who goes where, recording entry and exit accurately, and retaining footage long enough to be useful when somebody finally goes looking.
What we specify for an industrial site
- Perimeter and boundary — planned camera intervals with night-usable illumination across the full wall or fence line.
- Gate and weighbridge — vehicle-in, vehicle-out coverage angled to read plates, paired with barrier control.
- Zone access control — per-person, per-door, per-shift rights, so contractor and visitor access is bounded by design rather than by trust.
- Stores and finished goods — the highest-value, highest-shrinkage areas, covered and access-restricted.
- Production floor — cameras specified for the environment of each zone, mounted where they can actually be cleaned and serviced.
- Biometric attendance — fingerprint or face capture at entry, exportable to payroll, which removes buddy-punching from the wage bill.

Questions plant and admin managers ask us
Will cameras survive a dusty, hot or chemical plant environment?
Only if they are specified for it. Standard indoor cameras fail quickly in dust, wash-down and heat. We specify appropriate ingress-protection ratings by zone and mount cameras where cleaning and servicing is actually possible - a camera you cannot reach is a camera that stays dirty. We will tell you which zones need higher-rated housings and why.
Can access control be restricted to specific areas and shifts?
Yes. Access rights can be set per person, per door and per time window, so a contractor badge that works at the main gate on a day shift does not open the finished-goods store at night. This is usually the highest-value part of an industrial system and the most commonly under-specified.
Does biometric attendance integrate with our payroll?
Biometric attendance systems export attendance data that payroll software can consume, and the practical benefit is removing buddy-punching from the wage bill. The exact integration depends on your payroll package, so we confirm the export format against your system during the survey rather than promising compatibility in advance.
How much footage retention does a factory need?
Longer than most sites assume. Industrial incidents - pilferage, a quality dispute, an insurance claim - are often identified weeks after the fact, not the next morning. We size storage around how far back you realistically need to look, and state the retention period explicitly in the quote so it is a decision, not a surprise.
Do you work in MIDC industrial estates?
Yes. We have installed across the Taloja, Dombivli and Mahape MIDC belts, including chemical and fertiliser plants. Working in these estates involves site-access procedures, permit-to-work and safety induction that a general installer often has not encountered.
Can you cover a large perimeter without an unreasonable camera count?
Usually, yes. Long boundary runs are better served by fewer, correctly-specified cameras at planned intervals with proper night illumination than by many cheap cameras at close spacing. We design to the boundary length and lighting conditions and show you the coverage on a layout.
