How Global Eye started

Global Eye Security Systems was founded in 2010 by Santosh Powar, on the back of hands-on experience in loss prevention and CCTV security. That background matters more than it might sound: loss prevention teaches you that most security failures are not spectacular. They are small, repeated and procedural - and they are solved by designing for how a site actually operates, not by adding equipment.

16 years on, we work from Dombivli East across the Dombivli, Kalyan, Thane, Navi Mumbai and Mumbai belt, including the Taloja, Dombivli and Mahape MIDC industrial estates.

What we do, and what we do not

We install security systems for three kinds of site: independent homes, housing societies and gated communities, and factories and industrial plants. That is a deliberate limit. A society gate, a plant perimeter and a family home fail in different ways, and an installer who claims equal expertise across twelve unrelated verticals is describing a sales territory rather than a specialisation.

We do not sell unbranded grey-market hardware. We work with branded equipment from Hikvision and Panasonic, because the failure mode of cheap kit is not that it dies on day one - it is that it degrades quietly in year two, and nobody notices until footage is needed.

How we quote

Every quote is itemised: each camera, each cable run, the recorder, the storage and the labour, listed separately. This is partly so you can compare us honestly against another installer, and partly because an itemised quote is much harder to pad. If a competitor's quote is a single figure with a camera count, you cannot tell what you are actually buying.

We survey before quoting, always. Anyone giving you a price for a site they have not seen is guessing, and the guess is priced to protect them, not you.

What we will tell you that a box-shifter will not

• More cameras is not more security. Correct angles and adequate retention are.
• Higher resolution shortens how many days of footage you keep on the same disk. It is a trade-off, and you should get to make it.
• A system with no maintenance owner degrades. In societies, where committees change annually, this is the single most common reason a good installation stops working.
• Sometimes you do not need us. If a single doorbell camera solves your problem, we will say so rather than quote you a recorder.

Where we work

Dombivli East, Maharashtra - and across Dombivli, Kalyan, Thane, Navi Mumbai, Mumbai, Taloja MIDC, Mahape. We stay inside that radius on purpose. Being twenty minutes from most of the sites we service is what makes a same-week fault visit possible, and a support promise that depends on a two-hour drive is not a support promise.
